The 2016 brings together journalists, digital innovators and other individuals for two days of talks focused on improving digital rights and unrestricted internet access in the island nation. The conference is organized by the Office of Cuba Broadcasting (OCB) and is part of Social Media Week Miami.

  • Alan Gross, former U.S. government contractor and Cuban prisoner
  • John F. Lansing, CEO and Director of the Broadcasting Board of Governors, the independent federal agency that oversees all U.S. international media. The BBG is made up of five networks - Voice of America, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, Radio Free Asia, the Middle East Broadcasting Networks, and the Office of Cuba Broadcasting (OCB), which operates TV and Radio Marti. OCB is the organizer of the Cuban Internet Freedom Forum.
